BU students visit AFCB training base

Bournemouth University students have been given access to AFC Bournemouth’s training facilities. The master’s students toured the performance centre, seeing indoor pitches, medical areas and learning spaces used by the club’s teams for training and development. The visit was hosted by Steve Fletcher, who said it is always a pleasure to welcome students and give them a closer look at how the club operates behind the scenes. They also met players and staff, gaining insight into how a Premier League club operates day to day.

Marco Rose to become Cherries head coach

AFC Bournemouth have confirmed Marco Rose as their new head coach on a three year contract. He will begin the role after the end of the twenty twenty five to twenty twenty six season. The forty nine year old joins with experience from clubs including Red Bull Salzburg, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig. Vitality Stadium revamp work begins

Work has started on the redevelopment of AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium after approval in January. The South Stand will be demolished at the end of this season, with a new three thousand seat lower tier built in its place. Turnstiles and the ticket office will move to a new perimeter, creating more space outside the ground. Capacity will rise by more than one thousand five hundred seats at first, with further expansion planned to take it to over twenty thousand.
