
Thompson corner wins cup for the Cherries
AFC Bournemouth have won the FA Women’s National League Cup after a one nil victory over Plymouth Argyle on Saturday afternoon. Kenni Thompson scored the only goal in the seventh minute, finding the net direct from a corner at Loftus Road. The Cherries finished the competition without conceding in eight matches. Plymouth improved after the break, but Bournemouth held firm and Katie Scadding secured another clean sheet. Jess Hennessy was named player of the match.
